IDENTITY VALIDATION GATEWAY
Pursuant to federal regulations under 28 CFR 16.30-16.34 and 28 U.S.C. 534, the FBI provides Identity History Summaries exclusively for personal review, correction, or updating of criminal records in the Next Generation Identification (NGI) system, and not for employment, licensing, adoption, or other purposes outlined in 28 CFR 20.33; such requests must be routed through state identification bureaus, federal agencies, or authorized channels, with a list available. Accessing this U.S. Government information system implies consent to monitoring, interception, search, or seizure of data with no expectation of privacy, and unauthorized use may result in disciplinary, civil, or criminal penalties, while data may be disclosed for authorized purposes. The principal purpose is to process requests or challenges to records, including optional searches in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) for law enforcement data, with information provision being voluntary but potentially causing delays if incomplete. Routine uses allow disclosure with or without consent per the Privacy Act of 1974 and NGI System of Records Notices (81 Fed. Reg. 27,284; 82 Fed. Reg. 24,151), enabling updates to government databases, and all data is managed in secure systems solely for these outlined objectives; by accepting, users acknowledge reviewing and understanding this Privacy Act Statement. In the event that fingerprint collection cannot be successfully completed due to technical issues or any other circumstances beyond the applicant's control, including failures attributable to the third-party fingerprinting provider or natural incidents, a reimbursement will be issued. Separately, the payment submitted through this system represents 50% of the total service fee, and the remaining 50% shall be paid on site.
